Pension effective date
How is the amount of pension calculated
The effective date of your CMRC supplementary survivor's pension will be aligned with that of CAR.
- From the annual value of the point, i.e. €1,5485 as of October 1, 2024
It is defined by the following formula:
Monthly Retirement Amount = (number of retirement points) X 60% X (point value) /12
- The total number of supplementary retirement points credited to the account of the deceased spouse, at the rate of 60%,
The following are thus taken into account:
Points acquired from Agirc-Arrco for Monegasque periods prior to January 1, 2024 and which were transferred by Agirc-Arrco to CMRC
Points acquired from CMRC for periods of activity, or similar, from January 1, 2024.
Payment
Payment Arrangements
The pension is paid by transfer to a bank or postal account in the name of the beneficiary:
For each calendar month, if resident in Monaco, France or Italy, payment takes place on the first working day of the following month..
For each calendar quarter, if resident outside the three previously named countries.
General Payment Conditions
Dependent child:
When, on the death of the spouse, the right to a survivor's pension has been established, due to the presence of a dependent child at home, the payment of this pension terminates when the child no longer meets the conditions to be considered a "dependent child".
Payment is then reactivated, when the widower reaches the age of 65 (or 60 if he is recognised as unfit for any work) and on receipt of a life certificate issued by a competent authority (consulate, town hall, police, doctor).
Family status:
As the right to a survivor's pension expires in the event of remarriage or cohabitation, you will therefore be regularly asked for confirmation of your situation as a widower who has not remarried and is not cohabiting.
Birth certificate:
If you reside in MONACO, FRANCE or ITALY, you will be required to provide, according to the terms specified at our request, every two years, a life certificate.
If you reside outside these countries, the obligation to provide either a life certificate or a certificate of existence will be carried out every quarter, according to the terms specified individually by the Retirement Pensions Verification Service.S
When it comes to a life certificate, this document must be issued by a competent authority (Consulate, Town Hall, Police, Doctor) on the dates indicated.
